New government: Nine new faces and six independent |

Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves, has just presented his new government co mprises 18 ministers and three secretaries of state. The focus is on the entry of nine new faces in a squad where there are eight women and nine "repeaters", including JMN which oversees the State Reform. Six are independent.
Here is the composition of the new executive of the current term:
* Prime Minister and Minister for State Reform - José Maria Neves;
* Deputy Minister of Health and - Cristina Fontes;
* Minister of Finance and Planning-Duarte;
* Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and National Defence - Jorge Tolentino;
* Minister of Foreign Affairs - Jorge Borges;
* Minister of Parliamentary Affairs - Rui Semedo;
* Minister of Internal Affairs - Marisa Mitchell (Independent);
* Minister of Justice - José Carlos Lopes Correia (independent);
* Minister for Infrastructure and Economic Navy, Veiga;
* Minister of Social Development and Family - Felisberto Vieira;
* Minister of Environment, Housing and Spatial Planning - Sara Lopez;
* Minister of Youth, Employment and Human Resources Development - Janira Hopffer Almada;
* Minister of Education and Sports - Fernando Marques;
* Minister for Rural Development - Eva orthotic;
* Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation - Leo Antonio Correia e Silva (Independent);
* Minister of Tourism, Industry and Energy - Humberto Brito;
* Minister for Communities - Fernando Fernandes (Independent);
* Minister of Culture - Mario Lucio Sousa (independent);
* Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs - Jose Luis Rocha (independent);

During the previous executive, stayed out of the current government Manuel Inocencio Sousa (presidential candidate); Basilio Ramos (now president of the AN) Madalena Neves (Work Family and Solidarity), Sidonius Monteiro (Communities), Livio Fernandes Lopes (Interior) Jose Brito (Foreign Affairs), Octavio Tavares (Education and Sports) and Fatima Fialho (Tourism and Energy).
