Prime Minister will meet with young people the so called "thugs"

As part of this campaign led by the Prime Minister to combat crime and violence in the country, José Maria Neves announce today that will promote a meeting with youth groups and leaders of the neighborhoods of the capital, especially the group called "thugs" to discuss these issues.

The meeting should happen in the coming weeks "and will be very useful.  This meeting will best fit the measures to be taken and the best ways to help and deter acts of crime and violence perpetuated by many of these groups.

But, he adds, "I know that preventive measures and dialogue are not enough to combat crime ...". Hence, the Government has taken the measure to proceed with the placement of military police on the streets in agreement with the National Police in the capital or in Mindelo, which are the main urban centers. "We will solve the crime here in Praia" he said.

A visit to the neighborhood today, was an opportunity now, the Head of Government to hear from some leaders of so-called thugs and giving them also expressed their concern and ask them personally for this meeting to be organized, an idea that seems to have been welcomed by these people.

The Executive intends to work with all groups and professional or social, so you can create a social network "for the building of a society of friendship and peace!", Says José Maria Neves.
