The Director General of Halcyonair today reacted to the declarations released by TACV where the state company want to put the private company in court for a debt of about 35 million escudos. Gil Évora, from Halcyonair, says the the company never denied the debt and regrets the attitude of TACV in bringing the matter to the media. The Director advances, however, that the company will only be able to pay off the debt from the month of April, when, Halcyon Air it will strengthened its fleet with one more plane.
According to the negotiations between the two companies, Halcyonair should begin to pay off the debt of 35 million escudos in January this year, something that did not happen. The Director General of Halcyonair, Gil Evora, surprised, however, the attitude of TACV in bringing the matter to the media since the reasons for the delay are known by the company "already had the opportunity to tell the TACV the fact that we have failed to pay in January and February is simply the fact that it coincided with the months we had to make an investment of nearly $ 1 million for the second plane coming and then did not support our cash payment the down payement of the ATR and the second payment of the debt of TACV.
Gil Evora of Halcyonair says that the company never denied the debt, and regrets the unethical form that TACV introduced the subject in the public square and that is definitely not the best way to work between two companies: "TACV to be attending court because of this debt simply go to court. It has come to advertise in the media is going to court. Now we have to say that this attitude is strange TACV at a time when we have cooperated in many areas, either in the commercial or maintenance and have made a point of thanking the TACV where such cooperation takes effect.
With the arrival of the second flight scheduled for March 30, the Director General of Halcyonair ensures that from April the company will be able to fulfill the plan of debt repayment: "From April to Halcyonair undertakes to start all payment plans agreed that not only with TACV. There are also other institutions, but now we can not. "
