More than 30 groups will participate in the 2010 edition of the Carnival of Mindelo.

According to the City of San Vicente, these unofficial groups will parade the streets between the 6th and 15th of February.

Among them will be kindergartens, secondary schools, higher education institutions and organized groups in several neighborhoods of S. Vicente.

The first group will be the group of the Institute for Advanced Studies Isidoro da Graça (IESIG), the 6th of February at 16,00 hours.

The last to parade, at 21 noon on 15, will be the School of Tropical Samba, who returns after having missed last year.

Between them, will perform Brincalhões do Mindelo, Tucim Bedje, Mandingas d'Ribeira Bote, Mindel Fantasy and Caprichosos do Mindelo.

The morning of the 12th, from 10 hours, is reserved for the kindergartens.

The grant of authority to these groups of entertainment goes from 15 to 50 stories, according to the draft presented.

The exception is the School of Tropical Samba, which will receive 500 contos, such as the four official groups.

In the Carnival last year, marched in Mindelo about 37 animation groups.
