China donates 100 thousand dollars to Cape Verde to combat dengueChina_and_Cape-Verde_flag
The Chinese government will donate, on Tuesday, 19th,to Cape Verde, the amount of 100 thousand dollars for the fight against dengue fever, in response to the call on his counterpart at the Cape Verdean Community International.

Upon delivery and receipt of such donation, which will take place at 15:30 hours at the International Community, the Government of Cape Verde will be represented by the National Director of Political Affairs and Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs whilst the Chinese side for its representative diplomatic in the islands.

According to a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities, this is more a gesture of solidarity and friendship of many that China has witnessed the Cape Verde and "ample evidence in developed fruitful cooperation" between the two countries.

The archipelago was rocked in 2009, "unexpectedly" by an epidemic of dengue fever which are now almost overcome, resulting in the deaths of six people and more than 20 thousand cases of suspected infection, of which 174 progressed without major problems for fever hemorrhagic.
