Residence Permit and Work |
For a foreign is allowed to work in Cape Verde must have this Contract of Work authorized by the member of government responsible for Labor and valid visa to stay in the territory (it is getting A multiple entry visa issued by the Embassy or Consulate local). For the state of residence be legalized should definitely apply for indefinite leave from the Foreign Service of the Directorate of Immigration and this is provided after 3 years of residence. The procedures for obtaining it are:

- Application addressed to the Commander General of the Public Order Police (POP);
- Original criminal record issued by the country of nationality, translated into Portuguese and authenticated by the Consular Services of Cape Verde in the country of origin;
- Criminal record of Cape Verde;
- Certificate of Registration issued by the Police Command of the Police or the Public Order Police in the area where you live;
- Medical Certificate issued by the Police Health area of residence;
- Certificate of Residence issued by the City area where he lives.
- International Vaccination Certificate;
- Supporting document regarding accommodation in Cape Verde (paragraph 3 of article 7 of Decree No. 11/99 of 09 August);
- 3 passport color photographs;
- Photocopy of passport pages that contain identification, "seen" and valid entry stamps in the country;
- Proof of means of livelihood (Article 19 and Article 20 of Decree No. 11/99 of 09 August).
For workers on behalf of another in addition they need:
- Employment Contract duly authorized by the State Government responsible for the work.
For Self-employed entrepreneurs is requested:
- License Commercial Activity
- Paying 130 $ 00 Cape Verdean (1.19 Euros) for the purchase of print in the Directorate of Immigration and Customs;
- 5 (five) printed Guide Model B for the purpose of payment of fees. Are exempt from paying fees citizens with CPLP and the status of Cooperating.
