 About Cabo Verde


A true paradise which is not only for those who loves the beach life but also for those that are looking a different holyday full of sensations and emotions that change in every islands like the landscapes and people mentality.
Wind, sand and dryness, characterize the islands
of Sal, Boavista and Maio which are closer to the African continent, while high mountains of vulcanic origin with deep valleys often covered from a sub-tropical vegetation, small black sand beaches and majestic reefs carved by the enormous force of the Atlantic ocean characterizes the landscapeof the western islands like , Santiago, Fogo, Brava São Nicolau, São Vicente e Santo Antão.

The archipelago of Cabo Verde is constituted from 10 greater islands, of which 9 are inhabited, while others 5 smaller islands that are deserted. With reference to the Harmattan winds, coming from the northeast, the islands are divided in “Barlavento “(the islands over to the wind) and “Sotavento “(the islands under to the wind). The islands of Barlavento are: Sal, Santo Antão , São Vicente, São Nicolau and Boavista. Saint Luzia, Branco and Raso (deserted).

The islands of Sotavento are: Maio, Santiago, Brava and Fogo.
