President of the Supreme Court of Justice
Almeida Arlindo Medina Lawyer, was born on 27 November 1968, on the island of Santo Antao. Being a Judge, after performing the functions of Public Prosecutor in the districts of Sal and Santo Antão. He was elected judge advisor in January 2009 by the Supreme Council of Judiciary. He is chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice since then, by appointment of the Head of State, Pedro Pires.

Commander of brigade, was born April 29, 1934, on the island of Fogo. Was captain and high leader of the PAIGC, with the April 25, headed the delegations of this party who negotiated with Portugal the recognization of the State of Guinea and the right of the people of Cape Verde up to its independence. It was Prime Minister between 1975 and 1991 and became president in April 2001

Prime Minister
José Maria Neves
Degree in public administration, was born on 28 March 1960, on the island of Santiago. Was director of the National Center for Training in Public Administration and the General Secretary of JAAC-CV, former youth organization of the PAICV. Elected deputy national in 1995, when was elected vice president of the National Assembly. In 2000 he was elected Mayor of Santa Catarina. In the same year was elected chairman of the PAICV and is under his leadership that the PAICV wins the parliamentary elections of 2001, which became the Prime Minister.
With his re-election on 22 January 2006 was extended to the head of the government for five years.
