Canjia - Rice Soup with chicken

CANJA - RICE SOUP WITH CHICKEN

1/2 chicken, cut into pieces

2 medium onions, cut into small pieces

3-4 cubes if chicken soup

1 cup of white rice short grains

 

Golden your onions in a pan with some oil. Then add pieces of chicken, nuts and also some water. After the water is boiling add the rice and stir from time to time. Simmer for about 30-35 minutes, until you reach the desired consinstency. This thick soup is often offered during family dinners and special celebrations like New year’s Eve. It is famous among the island because give extra strength!
